Welcome to Kaizen Kidz! These Terms and Conditions apply when you use our website or buy our products. By doing either, you agree to them, so please read them carefully. In these terms, "Kaizen Kidz", "we" and "us" means Kaizen Kidz Inc. and its subsidiary Kaizen Kidz LLC.
The short version: you must be an adult to order. Our Swim Pack is a learn-to-swim training aid, not a lifesaving device, and children must always be actively supervised by an adult within arm's reach. You have 30 days from delivery to return, and exchanges are always free. Questions? Email support@kaizenkidz.com.
Who we are
- Orders placed on kaizenkidz.com are sold by Kaizen Kidz Inc., 1050 Salk Road Unit 3, Pickering, Ontario L1W 3C5, Canada.
- Once our US TikTok Shop launches, orders placed there will be sold by Kaizen Kidz LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaizen Kidz Inc. TikTok's own terms will also apply to those orders.
Use of our website
- Our website and store are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order.
- You agree not to misuse our website, engage in fraudulent activity, or break any laws while using it.
- We may change or discontinue any part of our website without notice.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information. It forms part of these terms.
Orders and payments
- When you place an order, you agree to give accurate and complete information.
- We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay (including installments through Affirm) and PayPal. Payments are processed securely, and we never see or store your full card number.
- Prices may change without notice, but confirmed orders will not be affected.
- We may refuse or cancel any order because of pricing or listing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund you in full.
Shipping and delivery
- We aim to process and ship orders within 5 business days.
- Delivery times vary based on location and shipping method.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers.
- Shipping is free on all orders to Canada and the United States.
- Duties and import fees on US orders are covered by Kaizen Kidz. Applicable state and local sales taxes are calculated at checkout and paid by the customer.
Returns and refunds
- Returns and exchanges are handled through our returns portal. To start a return, visit our Returns & Exchanges page. Returns must be started through the portal. Items sent back without an authorized return may not be eligible for a refund.
- You have 30 days from delivery to start a return.
- Exchanges are always free, including return shipping. In many cases we can fix an issue by sending a free replacement part, with nothing to send back.
- Refunds for change-of-mind returns have a $10 return shipping fee, deducted from your refund. If we made the error, such as a damaged or defective item or the wrong item, return shipping is free and no fee applies.
- Returned items should be clean, dry and complete with all parts. For the Swim Pack, this includes all foam layers, the belt and strap, and the carry case.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method once we receive and process your return, usually within 2 to 3 business days of it arriving with us.
- If your order never arrived or was delivered to the wrong address, email support@kaizenkidz.com instead of starting a return.
Product safety
IMPORTANT: The Swim Pack is NOT a lifesaving device.
- The Swim Pack is a swim training aid designed to help children learn proper swimming technique. It is not a safety device and does not prevent drowning.
- Children must be actively supervised by an adult, within arm's reach, at all times when using our swim products, in and around the water.
- Our products are designed for children ages 1 year and up, weighing up to 66 lbs (30 kg).
- Always read and follow the safety instructions and warnings included with your product.
We make every effort to make sure product descriptions and images are accurate, but minor variations may occur.
Reviews and content you share
When you submit a review, photo or video about our products, you give us permission to display, share and use it on our website, social media and advertising, with your name as shown on your review (or anonymously, if you posted it that way). You confirm the content is yours to share and does not break any laws.
Intellectual property
- All content on our website, including text, images, logos and designs, belongs to Kaizen Kidz Inc. and may not be used without our permission.
- Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.
Limitation of liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaizen Kidz is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products, including use that does not follow our safety instructions and warnings.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or guarantees beyond those stated in our product descriptions.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be limited or waived.
Governing law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
- Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use our website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
